Inactive after 6 months: where is it written?

i cannot find written anywhere that after 6 months without preaching activities reported you are considered an inactive jw.. where is this written?

or is it a non-written rule?.

i remember one of the flowchart responses to people questioning the biblical flood was something along the lines that "every culture has a flood story".. of course, nearly everywhere has flooded at one time or another and we know there are minor floods and then there are the 1-in-1000 year kind of weather event, that tend to get a mention (anyone from the uk will still talk about the summer of '76, and that's probably nothing in comparison to a decent flood).. but the inference is that the flood must be real, because every culture has a flood story.. the best response is "now do dragons".. because apparently, nearly every culture also has a dragon legend.. does it mean dragons exist?

some desperate jw may show their ignorance by suggesting that man lived at the same time as dinosaurs and they are what the stories were based on.

fun fact: stegosaurus was a fossil when t-rex was alive for longer than it's been since t-rex has been a fossil to us - we're talking old, and no overlap (ignore the map in the cover of the old green bible).. do jws still even bother trying to defend the cray-cray aesop-fable kind of ot beliefs?.

I realised there are flood legends before the bible in many cultures which means Noah is invented and did not exist....it's a copy of an older story.

One rarely known one was 1942 Rutherford's book "Enemies" explained that Facists would soon start Armageddon.

Yeah hang on guys he asked them to bring swords to make a point...which Peter used to cut a roman ear off then Jesus heals him...and he was talking about causing division and controversy not wars.Think about it. Jesus did not get rid of the nazi Romans.

How many here turned Athiest or did not and why??

me i slowly came to see religion was a crutch we use to dream of a better "afterlife"....i feel half my life was wasted building an organisation that had no criminal mastermind behind it...just alot of mislead people looking for leadership.

if your still religious explain why..

I was not a good student at school but loved "Watchtower" education anything to do with "the truth" I was your expert. I felt I belonged but it did not help me in the real world.

As an atheist I now still love these comments better then anything in Shakespeare. so imagine a governining body member faithful slave who's uncle wrote the new world translalation bible and predicted 1975 would be armagedon writes a book in 1980 that changed my whole life...thank you raymond franz for setting me and my wife free love this man forever.

To clarify Raymond in his OWN books mentioned how hard it was to make 607 convincing with 99 % of scholars disclaiming it as nonsense. We all had to "white lie" and stretch the truth hammering the wrong piece of a puzzle into place.

Yeah Raymond was given the huge job to write "Aid to bible understanding." The most deepest difficult job in bethel history...and he wrote it claiming 607 b.c.e 1914 was impossible to prove.
